Surf Spots

Surfing in the Audierne Bay

A surfer’s paradise, Audierne Bay is located between the Pointe du Raz (Baie des Trépassés) and Penmarc’h (Pointe de la Torche). It is full of varied surf spots that work differently depending on the conditions (tides, wind, swells, etc…).

Surfing in Brittany has nothing to envy to that of the South West. The richness of the landscapes and the culture of the region make it one of the new flagship destinations, more authentic, preserved and wild than its neighbor the Landes.
The Breton coast has the particularity to present steep and varied rocky landscapes taking differently the swell according to its orientation and the meteorological conditions (wind orientation, swell size, sandbanks, tide coefficient, etc…). Thus, some spots are more exposed than others and several retreat spots are possible in case of big swell. Thanks to the configuration of the coasts, whatever the conditions, you will always find a spot adapted to your level – reef break, beach break or point break – whether you are an experienced surfer or a beginner. This particularity makes Brittany a real surfing destination.

Surf School’s Spots

The spots we offer to surf are exceptional.
In order to optimize the pleasure according to the tides and conditions, the Soul Surfing Skol proposes its surfing lessons on different surf spots of the bay of Audierne but also in the bay of Douarnenez (beach of ris Douarnenez).

During the summer season, the appointments for surfing lessons are mainly made at Plouhinec beach of Gwendrez near Audierne and at Plovan beach of Ru Vein near Penhors.
You will have the pleasure of surfing alone or almost alone in translucent waters with magnificent colors and may have the opportunity to meet seals or dolphins in the water.
